In Search of Shark DNA

We all have heard about DNA tests, but have you ever heard of these tests being performed on sharks? Well, in honor of Shark Week scientists have been taking to the water to try and solve the mystery behind the genetics of sharks.

Just in case you wanted to know who their great ancestors where. These tests will also help scientists study and protect sharks in the near future. With some sharks easier to tag than others, these sharks are among the most dangerous to attempt the tagging process on.
