A heavily pregnant Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet did not experience any problem in hitting the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square to promote her new film “Labor Day”, which is slated to hit the theaters across the U.S. in December. However, she said if she feared for anything during the night it was wetting herself during the movie premiere.

At 38 years of age, the mother of two looked glamorous in a crimson costume that went well with the red carpet. The low-cut gown also showed that the popular actress was very pregnant. The blonde has a child each from her earlier two marriages; nine-year-old son Joe from ex-husband Sam Mendes, and 13-year-old Mia from Jim Threapleton. The third child that she’s expecting now is with Ned Rocknroll.

When pressmen inquired about her health, all that Winslet had to say was “fine”, and she really showed it when she moved around during the premiere in great style, and terrific condition! However, she did not hesitate to add that she was worried that she might wet herself. “I mean I’ve still got a way to go, so I’m not quite waddling. Just don’t let me sneeze, because I might wet myself at the same time,” Winslet said.

Labor Day

‘Labor Day’ has already generated a lot of expectation everywhere; the movie revolving around a teenage boy and his mother. The duo allow an injured person to stay as a refugee in their home, and the refugee takes them hostage in the next few days. The story line has already created a lot of interest among regular filmgoers.

Asked about her pregnancy, Winslet replied that she did not have any strange cravings, and that all she wanted was orange juice. “At the moment, I seem to be wanting orange juice a lot. I don’t know quite why that is, but it’s not so weird. I wish I could tell you I had some weird craving. I wish I could be like that woman on the advert who loves tuna fish and banana, but I’m not like that at all,” she quipped.

Winslet has not given any indication about her immediate future, leaving everyone wondering if she will continue with her glittering career or give it a long break once she becomes mother for the third time. When she was asked whether she is on maternity leave, the sharp-looking actress shot back: “Ask me that on a different red carpet, I’ve got pregnancy brain!”

Work Ethic

To a question on her teaming up with Josh Brolin in the drama film, Winslet said she felt quite comfortable all through, enjoying the pairing thoroughly. That’s because both she and Josh happened to share a similar work ethic, she added. Nevertheless, Winslet said when the working hours got extended, it left her completely exhausted. “Working on films can be really exhausting because the hours are really long. It isn’t glamorous at all – you’re up at 4.30 am and you don’t get home until nine at night.”
