Country singer Kelly Clarkson will certainly have a lot to sing about on her upcoming albums. The former American Idol winner and Grammy award winner wed talent manager Brandon Blackstock over the weekend. The ceremony was held in a fitting location for the country star, Tennessee. As seems to be the fashion these days, Clarkson announced the news over Twitter with a tweet reading, “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock. We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!” In addition the tweet, Clarkson shared two pictures with fans using Twitter.

The Ceremony

The wedding was held at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee, a beautiful and remote location that is south of Knoxville, Tennessee. The ceremony was attended by only a small group of friends and family. This included Blackstone’s children from his previous marriage. While it had been previously announced that they were planning on having a much bigger ceremony, it was eventually decided upon to have a much more private and intimate celebration of their love for each other. It also allowed Clarkson to fit in the wedding much easier with her touring schedule. As she had a break in her tour, it seemed like a good time to have the wedding. Simply put, the timing was right for the event and it seemed like the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of their new lives together.

The limitations on the wedding license in Sumner County are that they must be married within 30 days. Due to this, time was in demand and they knew that they would need to be married sooner rather than later. As a result, Clarkson was quoted as saying that, “”We’re just gonna go off with the kids and go get married and it’s just gonna be literally, seriously small.” The pictures shared by the happy couple show just how much love there is going on between the pair. The Lead-Up

The pair first met through Blackstock’s father, Narvel. Narvel Blackstock was Clarkson’s touring manager for several years. Additionally, he is married to Reba McEntire, whom Clarkson has toured with in the past. Brandon Blackstock proposed to Clarkson back in December after they had been dating for a year. The engagement ring made news when the announcement was made, sporting a large canary diamond that is surrounded by white diamonds. The ring was designed by Jonathon Arndt.

Clarkson will continue touring; however it is unclear how the marriage will affect future plans. For now, there is nothing but the best wishes for the happy couple. The newlyweds got the marriage that they had hoped for, with their family and friends attending the event. Luckily, the powers of the internet and twitter have allowed for the public to catch just a small glimpse of the day and allow for the celebration of the wedding publically. It is likely that we will see future tours with Clarkson and Reba McEntire in the future, as they continue to keep things in the family.
