These celebs come from the same heritage according to Ancestry.com

Justin Bieber posted an Ancestry.com chart that shows he’s related to fellow Canadians Avril Lavigne and Ryan Gosling. The connection goes back hundreds of years to some of Canada’s early French settlers. Bieber referred to the discovery as “the best day of my life.”

“I also just found out that I’m related to both Ryan Gosling and Avril Lavigne this is the best day of my life.. it seems super legit it’s on ancestry.com,” Bieber wrote on Instagram.

Gosling is reportedly Bieber’s 11th cousin once removed. Avril Lavigne is his 12th cousin. They share mutual ancestors named Mathurin Roy and Marguerite Bire, according to an Ancestry.com chart Bieber shared on Instagram.

Ironically, just two weeks ago, Bieber shared a photo of Gosling and said it’s time for the star to make another film.

“It’s about time we get another movie from the man, the legend Ryan Gosling,” Bieber wrote.

Genealogy experts haven’t confirmed Ancestry.com’s findings, and it sounds like Bieber is a bit skeptical of the chart. Still, he and his fans are having fun with it.
