Joe Biden will start working on reforming the U.S. on Day 1
The 2020 election was unprecedented with the surrounding circumstances of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with a record voter turnout and the most mail-in ballots to count in American history. Joe Biden makes election history with the most votes for a candidate securing his win with 290 electoral college votes and already has plans for executive orders starting on day 1 of his presidency.
Biden plans on going straight to work with a list of executive orders and legislative pushes that will reform the most controversial aspects of President Trump’s presidency. Biden will also be working with Congress to pass a bill to help DREAMers gain citizenship, implement a temporary moratorium on deportations while reviewing the immigration system, and reversing Trump’s “Muslim ban” for immigration of certain countries.
The new president-elect will also be working to rejoin the Paris climate agreement that just abandoned the U.S. after Trump denied to provide the committed funding. Biden also has big plans to combat the COVID-19 pandemic including more health resources for all classes.
Biden has constructed a seven-point plan to combat COVID-19 entailing free testing for all Americans, address the personal protective equipment shortage, developing a plan for even distribution of vaccines, protecting groups at risk, and more. The plan for COVID-19 will also provide a guideline with resources for communities including families, schools, and small businesses. This morning Biden addressed that he had his first meeting with his newly formed COVID-19 advisory board and his plan to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Biden-Harris plan will also help to restore the American economy but mobilizing American manufacturing and build a modern infrastructure for businesses to run on clean energy. The economic plan will help the education and caregiving workforce that are lacking resources for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Racial equality will have a crucial role in the Biden-Harris plan that will address police reform legislation, reducing the prison population, and inequalities in certain industries. The Biden-Harris plan sounds ambitious but the former vice president has the experience the political background to truly keep America great.
