A Legend Has Gained His Wings
David Robert Jones, known as David Bowie, was an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, arranger, painter and actor. To put it simply he was one of the most influential musicians of his era and since his loss many are starting to realize on what an impact he actually had.

Before he passed from cancer his friend Brian Enco received an e-mail from Bowie, but Brian thought it was normal the two kept in touch this way. However, after his passing he went back to depict the email and realized he was saying goodbye. “I received an email from him several days ago. It was as funny as always, and as surreal, looping through word games and allusions and all the usual stuff we did….it ended with this sentence: ‘Thank you for our good times, Brian. They will never rot.’ And it was signed ‘Dawn.’ I realize now he was saying goodbye.”
But Brian wasn’t the only person to hear from Bowie. Another friend named Johan Renck also heard from the star. For more details be sure to check out the video above.
