Britt McHenry accuses co-host Tyrus of sexual harassment

Britt McHenry, a host of Fox Nation on the Fox News Network, has filed a sexual harassment suit against the network. She singled out one co-host, George “Tyrus” Murdoch, in the suit.

McHenry released sexually explicit text messages allegedly sent by Murdoch, calling her “sexy” and making suggestive comments about her body. When McHenry brought her boyfriend to the Fox News set, Murdoch became “hostile and aggressive,” according to the network. Lawyers for the network cleared Murdoch of wrongdoing in an internal investigation, which McHenry alleges was a “sham.” She said she hesitated to file a lawsuit, but felt she had no choice.

“I am standing up for myself, for women and for what’s right,” McHenry tweeted. “I have maintained the same allegations because the truth doesn’t change. I feel for any sexual harassment victim who has their story and evidence dismissed, doubted and not believed.”

Murdoch denies the allegations and said that his name will be cleared in court.

“He looks forward to having a public forum in the court system to clear his name from the smear campaign that had been waged against him in the media,” Murdoch’s lawyer, Tom Clare, said. “Tyrus will be pursuing defamation counterclaims.”
