The Rocket Man Is Retiring

Sir Elton John has announced his retirement from touring after five decades as a performer. Elton spoke with Good Morning America and gave his reasons for dropping the mic. “I don’t want to be traveling away from my children … I’d rather be with my children than still be playing shows.” Elton has two sons, Elijah,5, and Zachary, 7, with his husband David Furnish. The singer will embark on one last tour, a three-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road global tour before he ultimately retires.
