Demi Lovato will release a new album and docuseries.
Demi Lovato will be revealing more than ever before in the new YouTube documentary series “Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil.” The docuseries will be a true tell-all of Lovato’s near-fatal overdose in 2018 and how she turned her life around to re-enter the entertainment industry.
Along with the new docuseries, Lovato will be releasing a new album to coincide with the upcoming YouTube docuseries called “Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over.” The new album will be released on April 2 but some of her new songs will be featured in the docuseries.

Lovato reveals the new album is the unofficial soundtrack of the docuseries that will give fans a chance to listen to some of the songs early in the docuseries. The “Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil” will reveal more about Demi Lovato’s recovery from a near-fatal overdose and her journey in making emotionally raw music.
The docuseries will show the dark side of substance abuse with Lavato detailing the effects the overdose had on her life emotionally and physically. Despite revealing limited details of Lovato’s near-fatal overdose, she reveals she experienced three strokes and a heart attack after being hospitalized.

Lovato reveals she has permanent brain damage experiencing blind spots in her vision that have impacted her daily life including the ability to read and drive a car. She says these challenges are a constant reminder of what could happen if she goes back to her dark place.
The new docuseries will feature testimony from Lovato herself as well as close friends and family who witnessed Lovato’s addiction leading to her overdose and Lovato’s recovery. Lovato discloses past trauma she’s faced in the entertainment industry and substance abuse led to her breaking point.
Lovato has addressed her past with trauma in the 2017 YouTube documentary “Simply Complicated” detailing her struggle with addiction, depression, an eating disorder, and navigating her sexuality. By the age of 18, Lovato was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as she was struggling with addiction while working in the entertainment industry.
