The controversially buggy game is back, albeit with a warning.
Not too long after its release last year, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 was delisted from purchase on the PlayStation 4 PlayStation Store. While the game was notoriously buggy on all of the platforms it was released on, it was at its worst on the PS4, prompting Sony to remove the game and offer refunds to anyone who wanted them. As of today, multiple months later, the game has finally returned to the online storefront, though with an advisory slapped on it.
Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms. The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best experience on PlayStation.

“Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended,” says Sony’s listing. “For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems.”
This advisory has drawn some new ire toward CD Projekt Red for effectively failing to fix the game they released for one of its promised platforms. Even some users who have played the game on the PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility have reported some persistent issues, including bad resolution and draw distance, gameplay bugs, and crashes.
Cyberpunk 2077 has returned to the PlayStation Store, but Sony is still warning players about the base PS4 version, promising that fixes will continue "throughout the year." https://t.co/AdTcMqVZZT pic.twitter.com/5ljzgjVlt3

CD Projekt Red has been gradually releasing patches for all versions of the game, with the most recent version being 1.23. While the PC version is gradually approaching some semblance of stability, the Xbox and PlayStation versions are still extremely unstable, and it isn’t known when this will be remedied.
