Is It All Work No Play in the U.S.?
The average American works a 9-5 job and a five-day workweek, but have you recently found yourself coming home to do more work or even working extra hours at your daytime job?
Well, according to a survey report by Oxford Economics for the U.S. Travel Association’s Travel Effect Initiative, the average number of vacation days taken by employees in the United States reached a forty-year low in 2013.
This report is basically telling you, you maybe over working yourself! That’s right, the average American is taking less vacation days and it’s having a big impact on travel destination areas like the tropics.
So, just when you thought you maybe working too much, be sure to check your vacation days and utilize them!
