Snapchat Introduces New AI-Powered Video Lenses to Enhance Creativity and Fun for Users
Snapchat is bringing a whole new way to create with its first-ever AI-powered video Lenses! Available exclusively for Snapchat Platinum subscribers, these Lenses use Snap’s own in-house generative video model to add fun and interactive effects to your Snaps.
The new AI Video Lenses build on technology Snap first introduced at its Partner Summit last September. By developing its own AI tools, Snap is making it easier for users to create unique, high-quality videos without relying on outside platforms.
What’s New?
At launch, Snapchat is offering three AI Video Lenses:
- Raccoon and Fox – Cute animated furry friends that playfully interact in your Snap
- Spring Flowers – A cool zoom-out effect revealing you holding a beautiful bouquet
Using them is easy—just find them in the Lens carousel, capture your Snap, and let the AI do the rest! The video automatically saves to your Memories so you can share it anytime.
Snapchat is just getting started with AI Video Lenses. New effects will be added every week, giving users even more ways to get creative and make their Snaps stand out.

“We’re always looking for ways to bring advanced AR and AI tools to our community in a fun and familiar way,” Snap shared in a blog post. “We can’t wait to see what Snapchatters create with these new AI Video Lenses.”
Snapchat has long been a leader in augmented reality, and by building its own AI technology, it’s making creative tools even more exciting and accessible. If you’re a Snapchat Platinum subscriber, you can start trying out the new AI Video Lenses today—stay tuned for even more effects coming soon!
