Cows More Likely to Kill Than Sharks
As you begin to hit the beach and head into the water on a hot summer day, what runs through your mind? Will a shark bite you? Do you fear for you life?
Well, in honor of shark week there may be a couple of things you should watch out for that are more likely to kill you than a shark. Between 2006-2010 there were an average of 4.2 fatal shark attacks per year worldwide.
On the other hand do you ever fear your going to get killed by a cow? Well, there are 20 deaths per year caused by cows in the United States.
In 2013 lightening killed 23 deaths per year. During the 2011-2012 Ski season there were 54 deaths in the United States. Scolding hot tap water caused another 100 deaths in the United States. In 2012 there was 651 deaths per year in the United States. 6,000 people every year died from falling off ladders in the United States.
So I think you get the hint. Sharks may not be as dangerous as other things but we’re still not recommending you go out and pet one?
