Go For A Ride Along in The 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang
If you love cars and fast cars for that matter, then you came to the right place; because you’re about to see a car that has it all, literally. Now we’ve seen a lot of great racecars but the all-new 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R is here to serve you all your need for speed needs and we promise this car is sure to amaze you!
Now we know the Mustang has always been about power and the 2016 models are holding to their standards as each engine delivers at least 300 horsepower. The 3.7L V6 offers up 300 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque, which is standard on the V6 Fastback model. The 2.3 L EcoBoost engines churn out 310 hp and 320 lb-ft. of torque, which is standard on these models. The 5.0L v kicks out 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque and last but not least is the 5.2L V8, which delivers 526 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque…now that’s a lot of power!
But wait, it gets better….since the other models have been so successful in the past the R was sure to keep all the components that make the GT350 so great and basically gets rid of everything else not required by law to tare up the road! The bodywork is also upgraded from the later model and the R gets a revised front splitter and a huge carbon-fiber rear wing.
So when you get behind the wheel and you’re ready to race you will be pleased to know that the cars weight has been reduced and all the weight shaving adds up to a car that’s 130 pounds lighter than a GT350 with Track Pack.
Now if this doesn’t get you excited to race then I don’t know will! So as we take a look at the new GT we continue to be amazed at what Ford is building and this car is sure to leave you astonished once you get behind the wheel! So what are you waiting for? We know you want one!
