It’s been a great summer for Taylor Swift, whose new album, “Lover,” sold over 800,000 copies its first week in the United States alone. She also took home the Video of the Year Award at the 2019 VMAs. Now, Taylor is using her fame and fortune to help a fan who is struggling with cancer. 16-year-old Trinity Foster, a huge Swift fan, has stage four cancer and recently started a GoFundMe page to raise money for her own treatment. Taylor quickly put up the full amount.

“I saw photos of your album release party that you did in your hospital room and wanted to say thank you for being so kind and supportive!” Swift wrote. “I hope I can give you a hug in person soon, but in the meantime I wanted to send you this and all my love. Your friend, Taylor.”

Swift’s own mother has battled cancer, and one of the songs on Taylor’s new album, “Soon You’ll Get Better,” chronicles her journey to recover from the disease.

“That was really, really hard to write, and it was just a family decision whether to even put it on the album,” Swift said. “We as a family decided to put this on the album, and it’s something I’m so proud of.”
