Four-time Oscar nominee Julianne Moore, who captured millions of hearts by her sterling performances on the big screen in the recent past, must have lived the proudest moment of her life when she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Besides her husband Bart Freundlich, son Cal and daughter Liv, those who were present on the occasion to greet the 52-year-old actress included her Carrie co-star, Chloe Grace Moretz and Don Jon co-star, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Topping the list of the distinguished guests presented on the scene, undoubtedly, is director Jay Roach, who brought enormous fame to Julianne by offering an Emmy-winning role as Sarah Palin in Game Change, the popular 2012 made-for-television film.

Gifted and Charismatic Actress

Looking several years younger in an impressive yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress, the smiling Julianne looked quite delighted to pose for photographers alongside the unique plague, the 2,507th star awarded in the category of Motion Pictures. In addition to having two Best Supporting Actress nominations in her kitty for her incredible show in “Boogie Nights” and “The Hours”, the versatile Julianne also enjoys two Best Actress nods for her gutsy performances in “The End of an Affair” and “Far From Heaven”. Julianne got a deserving comment from the Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, Anna Martinez, who described the award-winning actress as “one of the most gifted and charismatic actresses of our time”.

Julianne could have not got a better occasion to receive the star as Carrie is slated to hit the theaters across the U.S. on October 18. The film will be screened in the U.K. from November 29. Moretz, who is 36 years younger to Julianne, said she felt quite excited to be part of the unveiling ceremony and stand witness to her great friend and mentor getting honored. “She has taught me how to be a brilliant mom one day and how to have one of the most amazing, long lasting careers and how to be the most beautiful person inside and out,” Moretz said.

Grateful Every Day

Gordon-Levitt and Roach, who are among those who spoke on the occasion, showered praises on Julianne, describing her as one blessed with extraordinary talent. Accepting the honor and replying to the felicitations, the all-in-one actress first thanked her family members for making her real life better than any story that she had every read or been in. “I’m so grateful for you everyday”, she said.

Interestingly, the honor has come soon after Julianne has completed her engagement for David Cronenberg’s “Maps to the Stars.” The actress has been running a tight schedule, walking the red carpet to promote “Don Jon”, while she’s expected to make a few more press appearances before the release of Carrie. Julianne is expected to make her way to the Mockingjay set to give life to another challenging role in President Alma Coin.

When Julianne became the recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that sits on 6250 Hollywood Blvd., all those associated with the film world readily knew that one of the most highly talented actresses of our time was receiving a deserving honor.
