A Step In The Right Direction
Luxury car brand Mercedes is doing very well amongst its competitors. Winning the Formula 1 Championship and Driver’s Championship for the last two years really helps from a marketing perspective. The surprising knock-out effect of this? The industrial robots used to make these cars can’t cope.
That’s right; car-manufacturing plants use a lot of robots to automate production, however, Mercedes found that although these robots are useful, at the end of the day there is nothing like the human touch. They found that the robots work great but when it comes to customization the robots begin to fail.
What are your thoughts on Mercedes replacing robots with humans? For more details be sure to check out the video above.
