Catching up on the weekend games and matchups

Justin Tucker delivered a 53-yard field goal as time expired and the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 at home on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Both teams now share the same record – 10-2. The Ravens have won eight in a row. They’re also now the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs following the Houston Texans’ 28-22 over the former leader, the New England Patriots.

On the other end of the spectrum, the woe-begone Cincinnati Bengals notched their first victory of the season, beating the New York Jets 22-6. The Bengals (1-11) still would pick first in the 2020 NFL draft. The Jets are 4-8. And the Los Angeles Chargers committed a pass interference penalty on the game’s penultimate play and Brandon McManus kicked a 53-yard field goal for a 23-20 win by the Denver Broncos. Both teams are 4-8.
