New Trailer For Live-Action ‘Aladdin’ Movie

Disney has released a teaser trailer for their live-action remake of the 1992 blockbuster animated film ‘Aladdin.’ The trailer gives a brief, birds-eye view of the city of Agrabah, followed by trip through the desert.

Here we see the tiger-headed guardian to the Cave of Wonders, which delivers its classic riddle of who is permitted to enter: “a diamond in the rough.” Lastly, we see our hero, Aladdin, portrayed by Mena Massoud, reaching for the genie’s lamp.

‘Aladdin’ features Mesa Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott, who played the Pink Ranger in 2017’s ‘Power Rangers’ as Princess Jasmine, and veteran actor Will Smith taking up Robin Williams’ heavy mantle of the Genie of the Lamp. Smith has expressed excitement for his role on Twitter, saying that he can’t wait for his fans to “see me blue.”

‘Aladdin’ will fly into theaters on May 24th, 2019.
