What A Win
There can be a lot of debate surrounding whether or not video games are helpful or harmful for young people. Still, you have to admit, millions of kids love gaming, becoming totally immersed and intrigued by them. There is a huge world of different games with different landscapes and different goals. There are also gaming charities that are changing the lives of children, and adults.
One gaming charity functions like a fundraising marathon. Extra Life is a charity in which participants are sponsored by anyone to play any kind of game marathon-style. Gamers can choose any children’s hospital to send their funds. What an amazing idea. In the charity’s own words, “Play games, heal kids!”
Another is called Ablegamers. This nonprofit provides adaptive resources for special needs players and makes video gaming entirely more accessible to them!
A third awesome organization is called Gamers Outreach which reaches out to children’s hospitals and provides gaming equipment right to the rooms. They even organize tournaments and other activities that let the kids have so much fun.
