Tiger Woods Wins 5th Green Jacket At The Masters

Tiger Woods won his first major golf championship in 11 years on Sunday, winning his fifth Masters tournament at age 43. This makes him the second-oldest golfer to win a Masters tournament. After his victory, Woods jokingly told reporters, “Now we know why I’m balding.”

This is a major comeback for Tiger Woods, whose personal life has been rife with scandals for years. In 2009 his marriage broke up after several women outed themselves as Woods’ mistresses. In 2017, Woods was arrested for DUI and his mug shot circulated around the Internet. Woods has also had several surgeries that made his future in golf iffy.

But Tiger was all smiles at a press conference after the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club yesterday.

“Everyone was playing well, you couldn’t have had more drama than what we all had out there,” he said. “Now we know why I’m balding… this stuff is hard!”

Woods got emotional as he thanked his family for their support during his comeback.

“To do all the little things well this week, and to do it here, meant so much to me and my family. This tournament, to have everyone here… it’s something I’ll never ever forget,” he said.
Woods is now the sixth-ranked golfer in the world, and reportedly took home more than $2 million for his victory at the Masters.
