We now have technological silverware, in the form of the newly introduced Hapifork. The HapiFork is a fork that you can carry with you for every meal. But, the fork is also aimed at helping make its user healthier.
How can a fork do this?
Well, The HapiFork accomplishes this task by managing how quickly you eat your food. Through its Bluetooth sensor, the HapiFork senses when you have picked up food, and will lightly vibrate in your mouth if you are eating too fast.
By eating slower and chewing the total recommended amount of times, you can actually lose weight. The HapiFork also has an app for your smartphone that complements the fork while you eat. By syncing with the fork, the app will show you the exact seconds you take in between bites.
Both the app, and the corresponding Hapifork website also allow you to keep a log of the meals you have eaten and give you meal stats. It’s great to see technology used to make us healthier. And the Hapifork will undoubtedly help continue the trend of everyday objects being reimagined in newer, better ways.
