Barack And Michelle Obama To Produce Netflix Series

The former president and first lady signed a multiyear agreement with Netflix to produce series and movies based on their political experiences. The agreement includes unscripted and scripted documentaries, series, and features. Higher Ground Productions will produce the Netflix content.

In a statement about the Netflix announcement Barack Obama says, “One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience. That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix- we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote grater empathy and understanding between peoples and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

The upcoming Netflix productions will cover the political initiatives during the Obama administration, including Obama Care. There has been early confirmation that the there will be no mention or context involving Donald Trump.
