Fan bets $50,000 for on-field fan interference
Super Bowl LV might have been the biggest sporting event of 2021 but also provided unprecedented strict security adhering to social distancing protocols. Despite the high level of security, one man in a pink one-piece streaked across the field five minutes before the end of the fourth quarter.
The streaker, Yuri Andrade, made a historic game interruption making it on the field and evaded security long enough to be photographed making headlines the following day. It seems Andrade had an ulterior motive aside from getting attention, Andrade made a massive bet for $50,000 that a streaker would interrupt the Super Bowl.

Andrade’s $50,000 bet would bring $374,000 in winnings which initially posed questions as there are few sportsbooks that would take such a high bet. Despite questioning Andrade’s claim it turns out that he had his friends place several bets from different accounts on the gambling website Bovada.
Andrade bet there would be a fan on-field interference with +750 odds and multiple bets allowed Andrade to place the total bet of $50,000 across several smaller wagers. Since Andrade is the one responsible for the on-field interference, that is considered a conflict of interest with the bet as he influenced the game with an unfair advantage.
Yuri Andrade was banned from Raymond James Stadium, but says he "doesn't care" because he's "more of a Miami Dolphins fan" anyway.https://t.co/3ZxBMqo7Zo

Bovada is investigating into identifying the accounts affiliated with Andrade’s planned stunt stating, “Our players have always trusted us to ensure the integrity of all props offered in our sportsbook. We will continue to make sure that any publicity stunts or ill-intended behavior cannot adversely affect the outcome of a player’s wager.”
Bovada announced they will be paying out winning bets for the accounts not linked to early knowledge of Andrade’s plan and will be refunding the bets wagering against an on-field fan interference during the game. Despite Andrade’s tremendous and partially successful efforts, he won’t be seeing the big payday he was planning for.
