Just when you’ve thought you’ve seen it all. Google’s Nest thermostat may be the outbreak of the smart-home revolution, but Honeywell just launched a competitor this Tuesday with promises of being even smarter.
The Thermostat Of Tomorrow
This thermostat is the first smart thermostat that uses geofencing technology.
The idea is that the geofencing technology spots when one or more householder’s smartphones moves in or out of a preconfigured “zone” around the home.
It will change the temperature when it senses that you are coming within seven feet of the house and will change the settings on the thermostat to your preferable temperature!
Just when you think technology ran out of ideas, who knew!
