Tarantino Is Back With A Star-Studded Cast
With his last movie dating back in 2015 for “The Hateful Eight,” Quentin Tarantino is back for his next film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.” The new film will boast a star-studded cast will include Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradd Pitt, Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, and Kurt Russell.
The movie is about the story of former TV actor Rick Dalton (DiCaprio’s character) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt’s character), following their rise to fame in the Hollywood movie industry. The time period of the movie will take place during the time of the rise of the Manson Family murders.
Margot Robbie plays Sharon Tate, who was married to famous director Roman Polanski. If you’re not familiar with the history of 1970s Hollywood, Sharon Tate was murdered by Manson Family in her home when she was pregnant with Polanski’s child.
The movie will also follow how Dalton and Booth come to terms with how Hollywood has changed and evolved into Los Angeles. “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” will also be the final role for the late Luke Perry, former star of “Beverly Hills 90210” and star of “Riverdale,” he passed March 4 due to complications from a stroke a week prior to his death.
This won’t be the first time Tarantino is working with this group of actors. Brad Pitt starred in the WWII era Tarantino film, “Inglorious Bastards (2009),” playing Lieutenant Aldo Raine as an American military man in Germany to fight the Nazis and take down Hitler. Leonardo DiCaprio starred in Tarantino’s film in 2012, “Django Unchained,” playing the villain as the plantation owner Calvin Candie.
The new film is set to release this summer on July 26. For more on the movie and to watch the preview, check out the video above.
