PGA of America distances from Trump National
More organizations are seeking to distance themselves from the exiting U.S. President Donald Trump and the PGA announced they will be breaking ties with Trump. The PGA of America has announced they will be pulling the PGA 2022 Championship venue from hosting the event at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The announcement by the association of golf professionals comes days after a mob of President Trump's supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building, causing damage and resulting in the deaths of five people. https://t.co/iwt1J1HFhf

PGA President Jim Richardson disclosed in a press release that the PGA of America Board of Directors exercised their right to terminate the agreement with Trump’s Bedminster golf course. This news comes days following the massive riot on Capitol Hill of Trump supporters that was incited by the exiting president himself.
Trump’s organization was less than pleased to hear the news and lashed out against the PGA of America. A Trump spokesperson claims that this choice is a breach of contract citing that the Trump organization has invested millions into hosting and promoting the event for next year.
The PGA of America consists of golf professionals responsible for hosting sporting events initially signing the agreement with Trump National for the 2022 Championship back in 2014. World leaders and political figures have condemned Trump for inciting the Capitol Hill riot and not telling rioters to go home when he had the chance. Social media platforms are refusing to host any accounts for Trump who is now banned from Facebook, Instagram, and suspended from Twitter.
Trump is known for sending nearly all announcements through Twitter primarily but the social media network announced the permanent suspension of the official Trump account citing the risk of further incitement of violence. As days pass more organizations are distancing from the
