There is still more to the story of Joe Exotic.
In March of 2020, Netflix released Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, a docu-series detailing the life, success, and eventual incarceration of the self-styled “Tiger King” Joe Exotic, his feud with animal conservationist Carole Baskin, and the dark world of big cat ownership. Thanks to a combination of its wild story and the fact that everyone was quarantining at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the series became an overnight sensation. Apparently, though, there is still more to the story.

Today, Netflix released the first trailer for Tiger King 2, a sequel series that intends not only to delve deeper into the story of Joe Exotic and his rivals prior to his incarceration, but revisit the main players of the saga in the present day. The success of the first series brought massive attention, popularity, and profit to nearly everyone involved, while also bringing heightened attention to the plight of Joe Exotic, who still remains in prison to this day. As is mentioned in the trailer, those involved in the original Tiger King have “more money than God now.”
