Netflix is continuing to prove that they are the reigning champs of online original programming and have reached out to the biggest names in Hollywood to keep their crown.

Netflix recently announced a new Christmas special to air later this year with none other than the legend himself – Mr. Bill Murray. The special, titled ‘A Very Murray Christmas’, will follow the story of Bill Murray as he worries no one will show up to his Christmas party due to a giant snow storm in New York.

Though based on the list of impressive guest stars in this Christmas special – it sounds like people eventually show up. Everyone who is anyone is stopping by including Amy Poehler, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Maya Rudolph, and more.

Murray is teaming up once again with Sofia Coppola who has previously directed Murray in the films ‘Scrooged’ and ‘Lost in Translation.’ Murray had this to say about the upcoming project – “Christmas is really about Christmas songs so I thought I’d sort of do something like that.

That was sort of Sofia’s idea. And I started thinking about Christmas songs and I thought you can do some different things with it and sort of tell a little bit of a story.”
