Laser Foods in Spain has been using the lasers for a few years. Now people are looking to this technology to foster sustainability elsewhere. While these laser machines are incredibly expensive, they are cost-efficient in the long run.

The tech has been tested on avocados and sweet potatoes. The next step is tackling fruits with edible skin. Not only do lasers make everything cooler, they can help make supermarkets greener, too.
