Jimmy Fallon Gives Parkland Commencement Speech

The seniors of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School recently graduated. The group of seniors have been through hardships that most adults have never had to deal with. To celebrate the students, Jimmy Fallon made a surprise appearance. Fallon praised the class that have taken action and become gun-control activists since the terrible shooting. He continued to praise them for their strength and after the tragedy.

“Most commencement speakers, they’ll get up here and talk in the future tense. ‘You will succeed. You will make us proud. And you will change the world,'” Fallon said. “Most commencement speakers say, ‘You are the future.’ But I’m not gonna say that, because you’re not the future. You’re the present.”

The commencement speech was very emotional for the students as well as others in attendance. The Parkland students were wished the best by Jimmy Fallon along with the rest of the United States.
