The twist

Capcom seems to want up the ante on the Devil May Cry series by adding a little twist to its latest title, “Devil May Cry 5.” Capcom’s original developers, the team that developed the first four Devil May Cry games, respectively, will be developing this one. The DMC title, “DMC: Devil May Cry,” was made by British developer, Ninja Theory, back in 2013. In addition, the main protagonist in this game will be Nero.

Their goal this time around is to preserve the nostalgia of the series, but simultaneously, distribute some fresh new mechanics. In the previous titles you had nice assortment of weapons. In fact, they were pretty powerful weapons, so if you were in a difficult situation, it wasn’t too stressful due to having a good weapon.

The Devil Breaker, which is similar to Nero’s arm (the Devil Bringer) from “Devil May Cry 4,” is a prosthetic arm with supernatural abilities; however, the ability is rather seldom. Nero’s powers can be found in various environments of the game. After he finds them, he attaches them to his arm. Some of these Devil Breaker abilities compose of an explosion of electricity, grabbing ability, and a barrage of laser beams.

That sounds awesome, but again, it’s seldom, so you can’t always rely on it. They believe this new mechanic will cause the player to develop more of a strategy, which is always good. Seems like this game is going to be interesting.
