Starbucks Increases Prices (Again)
If your $8 coffee wasn’t expensive enough, it is about to get even pricier and people are not happy. The price of your average cup of joe just went up about 10-20 cents. It could cost as much as $2.15 for a ‘tall’ cup of coffee.
This is not the first time that Starbucks has raised the prices on users either. This is the third time in three years that they have raised the prices. Customers tweeted angrily stating they will not be buying coffee from Starbucks anymore. Have they taken it a bit too far? According to a Starbucks spokeswoman, they have not. She stated that they set their prices based on a product-by-product and market-by-market basis. She stated, “In the past year, Starbucks increased priced 1-2% which is on par with the industry practices.”
Many people believe the price increase was caused by the recent closings of stores for bias training. It was confirmed that this was not the reason for the price increase.
So will you continually pay for ‘golden’ cup of coffee, or find somewhere else that doesn’t hurt your bank account?
