The former Dallas Cowboy has been picked up for a three-year contract.
Over the weekend, the Cincinnati Bengals announced that they had inked a three-year contract with La’el Collins, former linebacker of the Dallas Cowboys. According to sources that spoke with ESPN, this deal is worth approximately $30 million.
Apparently, the Bengals Quarterback, Joe Burrow, sent Collins a concise text to confirm the deal with just two words: “Deal done?”
“I was like, ‘Yeah, your new bodyguard is in town,'” Collins said a statement. “Nobody is touching you.”

“You look at the guys that are around that helps build this team to what it is, I mean, what other team would you want to be a part of?” Collins added. “I’m just excited. And I can’t wait to get to work.”
In a statement released by the team, Bengals assistant coach Frank Pollack said that Collins will be a great fit for the team and their lineup.

“He definitely fits the mold of a ‘glass eater,'” Pollack said. “Just watch his tape. That’s clearly evident. He is nasty and he was a lot of fun to coach.”
While they didn’t win the Super Bowl, the Bengals’ appearance in the big game has given their brand a major shot in the arm, and they’ve begun signing new players en masse to make next season a big one.
