Bitcoin Update

Bitcoin’s value tops that Netflix. Bitcoin hit a record high above $4,500 Thursday, giving it a market value of about $74 billion. According to CoinDesk, the digital currency rose 2% on Thursday to $4522.13. That means its market valuation just hit about $74 billion.

To put that into perspective, bitcoin just surpassed Netflix market cap of $72.7 billion. So while bitcoin is not a stock, it’s ranking right up with the best of them. It would be sitting at #72 on the S&P 500 and #28 in the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
