A New Statement Shows The Pop Star’s Struggles
One year after the tragic Manchester bombing at an Ariana Grande concert, the hit singer is speaking up about the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder the event caused her. The 24-year-old explained to British ‘Vogue’ that she experienced signs of dissonance related to the event and that it was a hard topic for her to tackle without crying.
The Manchester bombing took away 22 lives last year, but that has not stopped Grande from bringing awareness to the issues at hand. Not only did she hold the “One Love” concert in support of the victims of the Manchester bombing, but by publicizing her struggles with the mental issue, it validates the millions who suffer from PTSD every day.
Grande’s quotes said that the topic is “hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing.” She says that the best way she is dealing with the issue now is time.
Everyone processes through traumatic events in their own time and their own way. Grande is taking a step in the right direction by shining a light on the effects of PTSD so that more people can understand the complications of the disorder.
