The unfortunate incident occurred while Campbell was paddleboarding near the ex-president’s residence on the island. The search for Campbell, aged 45 and hailing from Dumfries, Virginia, began Sunday evening after a witness reported seeing a male paddleboarder struggling in the water and disappearing beneath the surface. Despite the authorities’ efforts, Campbell did not resurface, leading to shock and grief among those who knew him.
