The GameCube Controller will never die
Nintendo rebukes the sheer idea of letting the GameCube controller dissipate. The Nintendo Switch has an update that enables the console to use your GameCube controller. The new Smash Bros. game is being released this holiday season. That may have something to do with it. There’s a catch, however. You have to buy an adapter in order to utilize it.
It was first introduced in 2001, with the highly underrated GameCube; that’s a story for another day. It found another life on the Wii (2007) and Wii U (2012). The Wii was able to play GameCube games, which made sense why the controllers were still usable. But we could also use the controllers for Wii titles as well, namely, “Super Smash Bros: Brawl”, which was a nice touch. The GameCube controller perfected many gamers fighting styles.
Unlike the 64 controller, it’s a decent size, so it fits on one’s hand quite exceptionally. The buttons are very accessible. Above all, it’s sturdy. That’s why people hold it to such a high regard. In addition, gamers could employ the controllers to play the virtual console games on both the Wii and Wii U.
Most of the games still played the same, as a matter of fact. For instance, the game mechanics of “Zelda: Ocarina” of time was still fluid with the GameCube controller. It was also convenient because if you owned a GameCube, chances are you didn’t have to spend money on a Wii classic controller.
I am jubilant, that after seventeen years, I can still use my use that controller on the latest Nintendo Console.
