A Sports Filled Weekend Ahead
You and your TV remote will become one. That’s the only way to suck up all of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament action.
We’re unable to limit ourselves to six selections when the visual feast is laid out this way. So it’s a conceptual Weekend TV Six-pack, but please don’t do the math. Remember that more is good, and too much is better.
Let your heiner now meet your recliner. Ahhh…
The Friday night lineup: Butler vs. North Carolina at 7:09 p.m. ET on CBS; South Carolina vs. Baylor at 7:29 p.m. on TBS; UCLA vs. Kentucky at 9:39 p.m. on CBS; Wisconsin vs. Florida at 9:59 p.m. on TBS. You’ll need quick thumbs on the remote. Extra hint: DVR everything, then you can go back and watch whatever you missed. If more is good…
Tournament underdog/darling/ No. 11 seed Xavier squares off with No. 1 seed Gonzaga on Saturday at 6:09 on TBS and Oregon tangles with Kansas at 8:49 p.m. on TBS.
If you prefer your hoops a level up, try the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ABC shows this one.
Where else can we steer you? Ah, way a segue to NASCAR. Our friends who go round and round are in Fontana, California at the Auto Club 400. The 200-mile race will be shown on Fox at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
There’s also the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play from Austin, Texas. Match play pits golfers against each other head to head, with each hole to be won or lost. NBC has Sunday’s final round from 3-7 p.m.
No, it’s not a six-pack. It’s more like a case. A keg. A truckload of TV.
You can do this. You can see your family on Monday.
