Prince Harry Celebrates First Father’s Day
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, showed their son Archie to the world shortly after his birth at the beginning of May. But Archie slept through the entire press conference and wore a knit cap that covered much of his face, leaving his dad to joke that he “has a bit of facial hair” already. For Father’s Day, the world got to see a bit more of the little prince. His parents posted a picture of Archie with his eyes open.
It turns out Archie has big, expressive eyes and a bald baby head.
“Happy Father’s Day! And wishing a very special first Father’s Day to The Duke of Sussex!” the Royals’ official Instagram account, @SussexRoyal, wrote.
Baby Archie is seventh in line for the British throne. He is the fourth grandchild of Prince Harry and the late Princess Diana. Archie’s cousins–George, Charlotte, and Louis–are the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
After Archie’s birth, Prince Harry told reporters he was elated by new fatherhood.
“I haven’t been to many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible. So, I’m just over the moon,” the Prince said at the press conference to introduce his son to the world.
