Enjoying the holiday weekend with some great games and matchups
A slew of college football rivalry games means you can suffer through Black Friday shopping crowds, buy an 80-inch TV and have it set up in time to watch most of them on Saturday.
Lucky you.
The two premier matchups are among our favorites. Start with No. 1 Ohio State (11-0) at No. 13 Michigan (9-2) on Fox at 12 p.m. ET. And before all of that passion dissipates, switch over to CBS at 3:30 p.m. for No. 5 Alabama (10-1) at No. 15 Auburn (8-3) in the Iron Bowl. Cap the day off with No. 7 Oklahoma (10-1) at Oklahoma State (8-3) on Fox at 8 p.m.
Looking for a midday Friday option? Ah, college basketball. Plenty of it on. Here we like a pair of unbeaten – No. 8 Gonzaga (8-0) vs. Michigan (6-0). ESPN shows this at 2 p.m.
The NFL’s best bet is Sunday at 1 p.m. when the San Francisco 49ers (10-1) hit Charm City to play the Baltimore Ravens (9-2). Fox will show this at 1 p.m. Take a break after that, but come back at 8:20 when NBC presents the New England Patriots (10-1) at Houston Texans (7-4).
That should keep your heiner in the new recliner you just purchased. And you deserve that seat made of rich Corinthian leather. Now park yourself in it and enjoy the visuals.
