Arcades as we know it are pretty much extinct. However, we remain hopeful that VR will be the vehicle at which they can make a comeback! So Viveland is HTC’s first dedicated VR arcade and it is located in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
It’s pretty cool because for about $7 you can play an array of games. But are these experiences enough for users to keep coming back week after week? The single player experience wasn’t as fun as playing in a room filled with your friends. So if HTC can realize that it’s the social component that matters the most they will be successful.
