Get Ready For A Weekend Full Of Sports

The Women’s World Cup comes to an end this weekend after a month of grand fun and excellent play.

The third-place game on Saturday matches England against Sweden/the Netherlands. That game will be broadcast by Fox from Nice, France at 11 a.m. ET.

Sunday’s championship game gives the United States Women’s National Team an opportunity to claim its second straight Women’s World Cup crown. The U.S. takes on Sweden/the Netherlands at 11 a.m., also on Fox, from Lyon. The U.S. remains hopeful Megan Rapinoe (strained hamstring), who missed the 2-1 semifinal win over England, will be able to play.

The PGA Tour’s 3M Open will be on CBS on Saturday and Sunday, beginning both days at 3 p.m. for the final two rounds. It’s a good field, with Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Jason Day, and the event is at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.

NASCAR is in Daytona, Florida, for a Saturday night run of the Coke Zero Sugar 400. NBC carries this at 7:30 p.m.

Baseball gets ready for Tuesday’s All-Star Game by closing up shop early on Sunday. Best bet: New York Yankees-Tampa Bay Rays at 1:10 p.m. on TBS in an American League East clash. A good Saturday evening choice is the Los Angeles Angels at Houston Astros at 7:15 p.m. on Fox.

The holiday is over and you are tired of all the merriment. Let your heiner sink into your recliner and your troubles will vanish.
