Get Ready For The Weekend With A Sports Review
We’d be recommending lots of TV time watching the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, Florida, if Tiger Woods were playing.
This was going to be his East Coast debut and he has won the event eight times. But he withdrew with a neck injury. So what are we to do?
Well, we can still watch the tournament. It has a terrific field. All of the reigning major champions started on Thursday – Patrick Reed (Masters), Francesco Molinari (British Open) and Brooks Koepka (U.S. Open and PGA Championship). Catch Saturday’s third round on NBC from at 2:30 p.m. ET and the finale on Sunday at the same time and on the same network.

College basketball is about to hit its peak before the major conference tournaments. Plenty to see here. Get your heiner in the recliner pronto! We’ve got some great matchups between ranked teams.
Saturday’s first offering is at 6 p.m. and features No. 3 Duke at No. 4 North Carolina on ESPN. Duke freshman star Zion Williamson sprained his knee in the first meeting between the teams and is unlikely to play. Duke won a squeaker against Wake Forest this week and looked ordinary doing so. Stick around the TV room at 8 p.m. and your reward is No. 7 Michigan at No. 9 Michigan State on ESPN.
Up a level in the NBA, the Boston Celtics meet the struggling Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at 8:30 p.m., with ABC televising. The Celtics, who have also had their problems, beat the Golden State Warriors on the road. The Lakers are essentially LeBron James.
NASCAR’s Ticket Guardian 500 in Phoenix is on Fox on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
Enjoy.
