Volkswagen Update
Volkswagen Group says it won’t be compensating European owners of diesel vehicles affected by the company’s emissions scandal. Meanwhile in the US and Canada those impacted by the cheat software are getting a little something for there troubles.
In the US 482,000 diesel owners will be receiving a $500 pre-paid Visa and another $500 card that can be used at VW dealerships. Owners will also be receiving 3 free years of roadside assistance. However, in Europe where about 8.5 million VW owners are now stuck with the car they didn’t know they were paying for are getting zero compensation.
The reason being is that diesel fuel is cheaper in Europe and the European owners were not as affected as the US owners. For more details be sure to check out the video above.
