Zuckerberg Breaks Silence
Facebook, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, are under fire for the latest data breach which was linked to the Trump Administration. Cambridge Analytica is the hot scandal right now, as the political data firm worked on President Trump’s 2016 campaign was able to gain access to private data through the social network.
The Facebook mogul broke his silence Wednesday, and released a list of promised fixes, along with information explaining how CA got the data it did. But, said list and explanation have not been enough to satisfy lawmakers and politicians. Now, U.S. Senators are actively calling for Zuckerberg to testify in front of Congress so that the public can again trust the social media website.
Amy Klobuchar (US Senator, Minnesota) tweeted Wednesday: “The steps Facebook has laid out to protect its users are a start but Zuckerberg still needs to come testify. Facebook should show good faith & support the Honest Ads Act. To truly regain the public’s trust, Facebook must make significant changes so this doesn’t happen again.”
