What to know for Super Tuesday
As Super Tuesday is underway, we break down the latest updates on the primaries along with the top running presidential candidates.
The last-minute candidate and Mayor of New York City, Mike Bloomberg, made history for running the most expensive self-funded campaign ever. Thus far Bloomberg has committed $500 million in ad spending alone despite entering the race exactly 100 days before Super Tuesday.
Bloomberg also made history as prior candidates have tried to run a national campaign without campaigning in early states to win the nomination without success but none of these prior candidates had the resources Bloomberg has.
Today is #SuperTuesday, the most decisive day yet in the race to be the Democratic presidential candidate. Fourteen states and one U.S. territory are voting today.

Democrats were anxious over Biden’s prior election performance and Bloomberg entered the race as “a new choice for Democrats.” Biden proved successful over Sanders in South Carolina and is predicting more endorsements going into Tuesday.
Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg suspended their campaigns, calling on states to reverse the early votes. Several states have released statements disclosing they will not allow early voters to alter their submitted or mailed presidential preference including Massachusetts, Utah, Colorado, California, and Minnesota. States can potentially amend their early voting restrictions after Super Tuesday.
