Rousey Defends UFC Title
Ronda Rousey gets mad and gets even.
Angered by pre-fight talk from Bethe Correia about her family, Rousey, the UFC’s unbeaten bantamweight champion, wasted little time in the Octagon on Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro.
Rousey knocked out the Brazilian in 34 seconds, landing an overhand right that flattened the challenger at UFC 190. As she walked away from Correia, Rousey told her: “Don’t cry.” Which were the words Correia threw at her at the weigh-in. Rousey is 12-0.
