Chris Long Is Supporting Quality Education
Philadelphia Eagles’ Chris Long is donating his entire 2017-2018 salary to help kids who don’t have access to quality education. He picked a good season, as the Eagles have taken a commanding start in the NFC at 5-1.
The defensive end pledged his cause on Twitter and encouraged others to help by posting, “let’s make a difference this season & ensure education is attainable for everyone. I made a pledge, it’s your turn.”
All of his game checks will go to charities that support youth education in Philadelphia, Boston and St. Louis. His base salary in 2017 is $1 million, which is sure to help a lot of underprivileged kids get an education they deserve.
