Tech enthusiasts have sure marked Tuesday in their calendars, the date set when Apple will reveal its iPhone release for the year. The internet has also been buzzing about the latest addition to the iPhone line that’s going to be revealed for the world to see during the event.
Here are some insights – what to expect and what not to – in this soon impending affair.
Newer iPhone 5 Version
Just like the iPhone 4-to-iPhone 4S-pattern, the Cupertino-based company is set to announce an upgraded version of the model they released last year – from iPhone 5 to iPhone 5S. This year’s release is expected to be definitely faster than its predecessor but tech commentators are still debating whether it will be equipped with a better camera or not. Some are saying it will come with 12 mega-pixel cameras while others stated that more realistically, the iPhone 5S’ cameras will have larger f/2.0 aperture. Some have also speculated the models will be fitted with a dual-led flash, a feature that will make pictures taken during the night eye-friendly.
Aside from having a speedier processor than what the iPhone 5 of the previous year has the iPhone 5S is said to be equipped with fingerprint recognition that will likely make passwords a thing of the past.
Multiple Versions of the Model
This year, Apple is set to do something that is a first in its launching history – coming out with multiple versions of its flagship unit. Rumors have it that the company in its Tuesday event is also set to unveil a cheaper version of the iPhone 5S in an attempt to gain ground in countries flooded by cheap Android phones like China. This low-end model dubbed iPhone 5C will have a plastic casing available in a variety of colors. Its features will not be like the ones available in the flagship unit but it will have the cheapest price tag ever for an Apple brand new device.
There are even hints that the company is actually set to present two variations of this year’s iPhone model; aside from the flagship unit which is the iPhone 5S, there’s the said lower-end model which is the iPhone 5C and there is also a rumored expensive model of the model which is without name but is said to be encased in gold.
It’s Not Just the iPhone
Tech enthusiasts also expect Apple to launch the iOS 7, the software update of the previous ones which the company fitted in its prior released models. Since iPhone 5S is the latest unit, techies believe it will be fitted with the said operating system.
Do Not Count on These
Tech commentators have, however, said that the world should not expect Apple to launch all of its brand new offerings on Tuesday’s event. There is a great possibility that the upcoming event will mainly focus on the unveiling of the iPhone 5S and whatever things that come with it.
It is not a time to look up for a new version of the iPad or the much-awaited iWatch. Apple will most likely release these at later dates.
